Business partners and addresses in PIC Customers

Understand how to review business partners and manage their addresses to keep the information used in orders and deliveries up to date.

Prerequisites

Before managing addresses, make sure you have administrator permissions and have correctly identified the business partner you want to update.

1. Process introduction

The business partners module holds the information about customers and counterparties used in the portal's commercial processes. Besides general identification, it lets you review and maintain the locations linked to the partner.

When an address is no longer valid, the administrator can open the partner, go to its locations, and delete the corresponding address before saving the changes.

2. Business value

Keeping incorrect addresses causes errors in orders, deliveries, and communication with the customer. That is why the portal should keep only current, verified locations.

This management prevents wrong selections when creating orders and improves the quality of the information that reaches the logistics flow.

3. How to operate it in the portal

Use this flow to review or delete an address associated with a business partner.

Open the business partner

Go to the Business partners group, select the BP you want to manage, and use the Update option to edit its information.

Go to the Locations section

Within the record, find the locations section to review the addresses currently associated with the partner.

Delete the address that no longer applies

Use the delete icon next to the corresponding address. Check that you selected the correct location before continuing.

Save the changes

Move to the last section and save the record so the deleted address is no longer available in the portal.

Do not delete addresses without confirming

Before deleting a location, check that it is not needed for current orders or future deliveries.

Save when finished

The deletion only takes effect when the business partner record is saved.
